BelairAthletic.com is the dual-market athleisure guide written from Bel-Air, California, for shoppers in the United States and the United Kingdom. We exist for one reason: athleisure shopping shouldn't require a calculator, a sizing converter, and a Google search to figure out whether the brand even ships to your country.

Why Bel-Air

Bel-Air sits on the western edge of Los Angeles, between Beverly Hills and the Pacific. It's where athleisure isn't a costume — it's how people genuinely dress, every day, walking out of Pilates, picking up coffee, doing the school run, going to dinner. The aesthetic of this site, our brand picks, and our take on what works in real-world use is filtered through that California sensibility. Athleisure should look as good in a Sunday brunch booth as it does in a Reformer Pilates class.

Why both markets

Our readership splits roughly evenly between the United States and the United Kingdom. The two markets have meaningfully different athleisure landscapes — Vuori is everywhere in the US but barely landed in the UK; Gymshark is huge in both; Lululemon's UK pricing is significantly higher than US; Hoka's UK distribution is patchier than US. Most affiliate sites pick one market and ignore the other. We don't. Every product we review is checked for availability and pricing on both Amazon US and Amazon UK, with sizing notes for buyers in either country.

Our editorial principles

  • No paid rankings. Brands cannot pay us for placement. Every position is earned through honest assessment.
  • Honest about trade-offs. Every product has downsides; we say so. Lululemon Align is brilliant but expensive. Vuori is tailored beautifully but harder to source in the UK. Hoka runs small. We tell you upfront.
  • Both markets, every product. We don't favour US or UK shoppers. Both currencies, both stores, both sizing systems addressed on every recommendation.
  • Real sizing guidance. Most affiliate sites copy specs from Amazon. We add the bit that actually matters — does it run small? Does the conversion hold? — based on actual experience with the products.

How we make money

This funding model lets the site stay free and the recommendations honest.
